What Moher could you ask for?

Does anyone else love a good Cliffs of Moher pun more than me? Regardless, the cliffs don't need any puns or gimmicks; they speak for themselves.

We left our Hotel in Galway in the early hours of the morning to make sure we would beat the rush to the cliffs. Ireland never ceases to amaze me with its beauty! On the way to the cliffs, our coach driver, Steve, stopped for us to take scenic pictures of Cork Screw Hill. Maneuvering the winding road must have been challenging, but it was nothing for our hero, Steve! Our guests are truly in awe of Steve's driving prowess. Just another way that CIE has really delivered on a carefree tour. "Trust in Steve," has been a common phrase amongst the guests!

The Cliffs of Moher have been on my "to-do" list for quite some time. I was nervous on our drive to the cliffs because I'd heard from friends who had been before that it can be difficult to see them if the weather decides not to cooperate. As I have quickly learned, Ireland's weather makes its own decisions and can be temperamental at times. "You can see winter, summer, spring, and fall, all in one day," one of our previous guides explained.

As luck would have it, our arrival to the cliffs was greeted with blue skies and sunshine. It is difficult to put into words how beautiful it is to see this remarkable feature of land. Pictures can't do these cliffs justice. I ended up walking away once we finished our visit, with dozens of fabulous photos. As one guest said, "I couldn't stop taking pictures. Every couple of feet, there was a different angle, so you needed to capture that view, and then you would walk a little further and you saw it from a different angle! They were truly amazing."

The cliffs were not very crowded when we arrived, however, the coach tour rush started to fill the pathways. I was thankful our guide ensured our early arrival to avoid the mobs.

Our tour reluctantly boarded the coach for our next stop, reviewing the gorgeous pictures we all took to remember the magnificence we just experienced. How can Ireland be so extraordinarily beautiful?

Our day continued on to a filling lunch and a pit stop to John B. Keane's pub! Scones, tea, and coffee were waiting for us as we listened to stories from John. B. Kean's son. It was a welcomed stop to relax in a traditional Irish pub and enjoy tea and scones.

Our final stop for the day? Killarney! Our hotel is conveniently located right in the middle of the main shopping area. Our guests were excited to see that a scenic walk around Killarney was right outside the hotel doors. We still have an entire day in Killarney and I'm excited to see what Ireland has in store for us tomorrow. I will catch up with you soon!

CIE you there!
